During a Reiki session, you lie down fully clothed in a comfortable setting with soft lighting and relaxing music and receive a healing. The healing involves the healer placing their hands gently on or above certain energy (meridian) points in your body to remove blockages and stimulate energy flow.
In this safe, secure environment you can allow yourself to go into a deep, relaxed state. The healing goes to the areas which are in most need of help, both physical and psychological, and often a release happens, whether it be a letting go of physical pain or old emotions which no longer serve a purpose. And as Reiki activates the body’s natural ability to heal itself, the benefits continue long after the session has ended.
After a session, many people report feeling revitalised, re-energised and lighter, having left their problems on the table.
Reiki can be used as a body tune up (or MOT) to keep you in balance emotionally and physically and some people like to book in for a monthly session in order to plan that all important down time.
