When someone tells me they want to stop smoking, the first thing I do is listen to the language they are using. Are they really saying they "want to", or are they saying they "must", they "have to", or someone else "wants them to"?
Hypnotherapy is extremely effective for stopping smoking as long as you genuinely want to. However, it is not a magic wand and if you choose in the future to light a cigarette, a thunderbolt will not come down from the heavens and strike it out of your hand. Hypnosis is a wonderful aide which makes it much easier to stop than other methods, but you take responsibility for stopping smoking because only you can do it.

Once you are clear you want to stop smoking and you feel it’s time to stop, Hypnotherapy and NLP combined are a wonderful way of making changes very quickly to your lifestyle and your thinking.
My first session with you is at least two hours long as we work through a specially designed questionnaire that looks at why you used to smoke, where and when you used to smoke, who you used to smoke with, and more, to build up a pattern of your habit. We then break down the habit bit by bit using NLP exercises. Changing your reaction to cigarettes, teaching you how to deal with cravings, using your imagination to get rid of the habit, and teaching you how to deal with future situations so that from now on you live your life as a non smoker.
Hypnosis works because the imagination is much stronger than the will, and I take the changes we discuss in the first part of the session and install them straight into your unconscious mind so that they take effect immediately. In this sense every session is individual, because you are choosing your new patterns of behaviour and what is right for you specifically.
With my three part Stop Smoking Programme, most people stop during the first session.
The second session a week later is a follow up to reinforce your new patterns of behaviour. We discuss the changes that you’ve noticed, and make any minor adjustments that you feel necessary. You can then choose whether to use the final session or keep it as a backup for a later date.
Because you are now back in control of your life and able to make choices for yourself. And that’s a great feeling!
